An open web steel joist bears onto an angle seat bracket welded to a steel plate embedded in a concrete wall. The top chord of the joist extends under an upper angle bracket with a minimum one-and-a-half-inch clearance. A bolted connection secures the joist web to the seat bracket. Stiffener plates and fillet welds reinforce the support brackets against the wall plate.
