A gusset plate connects diagonal bracing members to a structural steel beam along the centerline. The assembly is secured with typical one-quarter-inch fillet welds. Grade 60 A706 number four dowel bars measuring two feet in length are detailed with hooks at the slab edge where required. Dowel spacing follows the typical deck edge conditions detail at a maximum of twelve inches on center.
