A reinforced concrete wall extends upward from a continuous concrete footing, reinforced with vertical and horizontal bars matching the structural schedule. Dowels extend from the footing up into the wall to provide continuous vertical reinforcement development. A concrete slab on grade abuts the wall on one or both sides, detailed per plan. The footing rests on prepared subgrade with reinforcing bars placed across its width.
