The steel channel chord, sized per plan, is connected to the interior face of a concrete tilt-up panel. The channel is secured to the panel using an additional Kwik Hus-EZ screw anchor as specified in detail 5 on sheet SE702. A 3/16-inch fillet weld is applied to both sides of the connection between the channel and the embed. The concrete panel contains horizontal and vertical reinforcing bars, with provisions for reveals or recesses where they occur. The top of the panel is finished as indicated on the architectural drawings.
