A steel beam per plan connects to a vertical tube steel column using supporting angle connections and expansion anchors. The assembly features an L6x4x3/8 by zero-foot-seven angle on each side attached with three-quarter-inch A325-N bolts, welded with five-sixteenth-inch welds on three sides. A quarter-inch plate is provided full height on each side of the beam web with quarter-inch welds. Long slotted vertical holes are provided in the tube steel, with a maximum length of two point five times the bolt diameter per note one. The base of the connection incorporates L6x6x3/8 by one-foot-one angles on each side with two three-quarter-inch expansion anchors per side for a total of four.
