A metal stud wall partition terminates at a hollow structural section tube or pipe column with a one-half inch clearance joint on each side. The joint is filled per architectural specifications. A continuous track connects the metal stud wall using two number eight screws at each stud. The assembly provides structural separation and attachment between light-gauge framing and a structural steel column.
