A concrete housekeeping pad with a minimum thickness of 6 inches sits atop a structural slab on grade. The pad features a 3/4-inch chamfer at vertical corners and a 1/2-inch radius at horizontal edges, maintaining a 3/4-inch clear cover. Number 3 dowels with standard 90-degree hooks are spaced at 12 inches on center at the perimeter and 24 inches on center each way at the interior, anchored into drilled holes with epoxy. Additional number 3 reinforcing bars run each way at 12 inches on center.
