A wide-flange column and buckling-restrained brace connect to a grade 50 base plate anchored atop a reinforced concrete footing. A 1 1/2-inch non-shrink grout layer sits beneath the base plate with a 1 1/2-inch anchor bolt projection. The buckling-restrained brace connects via a gusset plate and connection detailed per the manufacturer. The concrete footing includes an anchor plate measuring 1 3/4 by 12 inches by 1 foot 7 inches in grade 50 steel, reinforced with number 4 ties at 4 inches on center.
