A W14X311 wide flange steel column is anchored by a rectangular base plate measuring three-quarters of an inch thick by twenty-five inches by two feet one inch. Twelve anchor bolts are arranged around the column profile with symmetric spacing of seven inches between bolt centers. The base plate is positioned relative to the adjacent slab edge.
