A bent five-sixteenths-inch plate spans the full width of the elevator shaft along the concrete slab edge and is anchored by one-half-inch diameter by one-foot six-inch welded deformed bar anchors spaced at fifteen inches on center. The assembly bears on a structural steel beam with reinforcement sized per plan. An elevator door sill support is provided by the elevator manufacturer, with actual shaft dimensions to be field verified. A three-sixteenths-inch fillet weld connects the embedded plate assembly.
