A continuous bent closure plate is welded to the steel beam with a one-eighth-inch fillet weld spaced at two to twelve inches. Two number four continuous reinforcing bars extend two feet beyond reentrant corners with a two-inch lap. Half-inch diameter by four-foot welded deformed anchors are spaced at twelve inches on center with one-and-a-quarter-inch clearance to weld anchors. An intersecting steel beam connects via a bolted shear tab as sized per plan.
