A structural concrete slab on grade features a thickened edge transition adjacent to a closure pour or continuing slab condition. The concrete edge thickens over a one-foot transition zone with a six-inch vertical face dimension and a two-inch minimum height requirement. Subgrade preparation and aggregate fill support the concrete assembly beneath the slab.
