The stair stringer connects to a structural steel column framed with 4x4x1/4-inch angles measuring zero feet eight inches on each side of the column. A one-quarter-inch closure plate finishes the assembly at the edge. Welds include one-quarter-inch fillet welds on three sides along with field welds.
