Detail A has a flare v-groove weld with a weld length per schedule and a maximum root opening of one-eighth inch. Detail B has a single v-groove weld with a split pipe backing, sixty-degree bevel angle, and one-eighth inch root opening. Detail D has a flare bevel groove weld connecting a reinforcing bar to a steel plate with specific dimensional clearances. Detail E has a complete joint penetration groove weld with forty-five-degree bevel and one-eighth inch root opening on a steel plate.
