A concrete tie beam frames into a continuous pad footing. The tie beam is reinforced with four number six longitudinal bars at the top and bottom enclosed by number three ties, with a typical lap splice length of five feet zero inches unless noted otherwise. Reinforcement bars maintain a three-inch clear cover typical throughout. The pad footing size and reinforcement are per the foundation schedule, with bottom bars terminated three inches clear of the pad end where a tie beam occurs on one side only.
