A supply air duct connects to a ceiling diffuser through a maximum five-foot length of fully extended flexible duct secured with nylon draw bands. A round duct adapter is used if required for a rectangular diffuser set into a T-bar type suspended ceiling. The main duct is supported by a metal band suspended by a tie-off to the structure, and a manual balance damper is installed in the run. Installation requirements follow SMACNA standards to prevent kinking or area reduction in the flex duct.
