An angle brace connects to the top flange of a neighboring joist or beam, transferring loads to a structural steel beam supporting a concrete fill over metal floor deck. A 1/4-inch by 5-inch by 5-inch weld plate connects each brace using 3/16-inch fillet welds to the beam web. Locations and deck direction are sized per plan.
