An intersecting hollow structural section beam connects to a continuous hollow structural section member using a 3/8-inch by 4-inch by 0'-6" plate welded on each side with 1/4-inch fillet welds. Two 3/4-inch diameter ASTM A449 through bolts secure the supported hollow structural section beam web to the connecting plate. The top of steel is aligned per plan, with similar framing conditions detailed at hollow structural section posts.
