A structural steel davit support assembly is detailed at a corner column and beam intersection. The davit socket pedestal sits on a 3/4 inch square minimum base plate welded to the beam flanges with a 3/8 inch fillet weld. Three-eighths inch stiffener plates are provided on each side of the beam web, welded with 1/4 inch fillet welds to the flanges and webs. Additional 1/2 inch by 4 inch plates are fitted at the column connection with matching fillet welds.
