A structural steel beam supports a metal roof deck with all deck flutes filled with expanded polystyrene at the penthouse. A lightweight concrete slab on geofoam bears over the deck, tied with number four A706 reinforcing bars spaced at twelve inches on center welded to the top of the beam. A pour stop retains the concrete slab adjacent to a cold-formed steel box header by the manufacturer. Exterior cold-formed steel studs measuring six inches are spaced at sixteen inches on center and carry exterior metal panels per architectural drawings, backed by a six-inch lightweight concrete wall reinforced with number four horizontal bars at twelve inches on center.
