A thickened concrete slab-on-grade supports an interior electrical generator. The assembly features a two-foot-thick concrete section with sloped edge transitions matching the specified generator pad extents. Reinforcing steel is placed within the top and bottom of the slab with a standard three-inch concrete clearance to the subgrade. The surrounding standard concrete slab-on-grade transitions into the thickened pad as detailed per the structural plans.
