A reinforced concrete pile cap is supported by three pile P2 locations. The concrete mass features a 3-inch cover over embedded 1-inch plates fitted with eight number 8 welded T-headed bars centered on each pile. Perimeter confinement is provided by number 7 reinforcing bars at 8-inch spacing on all sides, along with double turns of spiral reinforcement at the top and bottom of each pile at a 2-inch typical spacing. A minimum 3-foot-4-inch lap is specified for the reinforcing bars, with 5 inches of clear distance to the bottom bar and 3 feet 9 inches minimum between the top of the heads and the bottom of the plate.
