This connection detail features a hollow structural section girt framing into a hanging column, which is sized per plan and includes a 3/8-inch fitted bottom plate. The girt is attached to the column using a 1/4-inch fillet weld on both the near side and far side. The assembly is oriented to align the top of steel for both members as specified per plan.
