A structural plate of thickness 't' passes vertically through a slotted hollow structural section. The slot width is fabricated to thickness 't' plus one-sixteenth of an inch. The end of the slot features a rounded termination with a diameter equal to thickness 't' plus one-sixteenth of an inch. The plate is centered between the walls of the hollow structural section with equal dimensions on each side. A maximum dimension of two inches governs the layout of the slot termination.
