A top braced frame connection joins a beam and a diagonal brace to a wide-flange column. A one-quarter-inch cap plate is secured to the top of the column with a one-eighth-inch perimeter fillet weld. A three-eighths-inch connection plate with standard holes fastens to the beam web using a one-quarter-inch fillet weld. The column, beam, and brace sizes are sized per the framing elevation.
