An angle profile designated as L4x4x3/8 by 0 feet 6 inches for depths between 4 inches and 6 inches, or L6x6x3/8 by 0 feet 6 inches for depths greater than or equal to 6 inches, connects to the hollow structural section per plan. A 3/8-inch plate is welded to the hollow structural section using a quarter-inch fillet weld. Additional angle members with dimensions varying by depth size are welded with quarter-inch fillet welds.
