A truss angle provided by the escalator contractor rests on a cast-in-place steel plate with an eleven-inch vertical dimension to the structural support above. The sliding connection accommodates seismic movement at the edge of the structural support. An anchor bolt or fastener marked with callout A secures the assembly through the steel plates.
