A W24 wide-flange beam connects to an S15 structural shape supported by an HSS3x3x5/16 hollow structural section column. A 1-inch thick by 10-inch wide by 8-1/2-inch long plate sits beneath the beam flange. Four 3/4-inch diameter ASTM A325 bolts secure the assembly with beveled washers provided as required. The channel cap is omitted for clarity of the connection.
