An angle brace connects between parallel structural steel beams to provide lateral stability. Each end of the angle brace features two 3/4-inch diameter bolts fastened through gusset plates measuring 3/8 inch by 6 inches. The gusset plates are welded to the beam webs and flanges with 1/4-inch fillet welds typical. A minimum 1-to-1 slope is maintained for the brace geometry. Additional framing members appear in elevation beyond where the brace occurs.
