A typical cast-in-place concrete edge beam is monolithically poured with an adjacent concrete floor slab. The assembly incorporates beam top bars and slab top bars detailed per the concrete beam schedule, along with beam bottom bars similarly scheduled for size and placement. Closed-type stirrups provide shear reinforcement around the perimeter at spacings defined in the structural schedules. Added horizontal bars are provided on each face as specified in typical concrete beam sections.
