A volleyball pole sleeve is embedded within a first-floor concrete slab having a five-inch diameter blockout. Slab reinforcement is bent around the sleeve with blockouts provided where required according to the structural plan. The local slab thickness transitions with a one-to-one slope to accommodate the eight-inch depth below the sleeve.
