Multi-level concrete floor slabs and beams are supported by vertical shoring and reshoring systems across multiple stories. Freshly placed concrete at the top level requires one hundred percent shoring for a minimum of five days. Successive lower levels indicate decreasing shoring percentages down to fifty percent at fourteen and twenty-one days, up to twenty-eight days minimum. All shoring and reshoring operations must comply with ACI Standard 347, prohibiting shore removal if concrete has not attained specified twenty-eight-day strength.
