The side member beam attaches to the main member web using a full-depth connection plate sized per schedule. The supported beam flanges are coped as required, maintaining standard minimum edge distances and a three-inch maximum clearance. Standard round holes are provided, except at concrete embeds where connection plates and bolts are sized per schedule. A one-half-inch clearance and three-inch typical on-center bolt spacing are maintained per AISC minimum requirements.
