A wide flange beam connects to a hollow structural section beam using a WT section welded to the hollow structural section and bolted to the wide flange beam web. The WT section web size matches the connection schedule, with a flange width between four and six inches and a flange thickness not less than the web thickness. Bolts fasten the wide flange beam web to the WT section, with the exact bolt configuration referenced from the connection schedule. A note directs the user to see the connection schedule for specific fastener sizes and spacing.
