A structural steel column connects to a base plate anchored into a concrete footing and slab on grade. The base assembly utilizes extended anchor bolts secured with double nuts at the base of the footing. Reinforcement within the concrete footing consists of perimeter bars and number four ties at three inches on center. A slab on grade intersects the top of the footing with three inches of typical clearance.
