A structural steel column or tube member is anchored above a concrete slab over a metal deck. The assembly utilizes 7/8-inch diameter A325N bolts typically spaced with 1-1/2-inch clearances. A continuous bent plate interfaces with the wide flange beam referenced from the plan. Fillet welds of 5/16-inch size are specified on three sides of the connection.
