Conduits are placed in the middle third of the slab depth as specified per plan, with conduit diameter restricted to less than or equal to T/3 typical unless noted otherwise. A maximum of three conduits are permitted per group, maintaining a minimum spacing of D or 2 inches typical unless noted otherwise. Conduits must not be placed within 48 inches of any column face or slab edge, and chairs are provided to support the conduit during placement. Additional number 4 top and bottom reinforcement at 12 inches on center is required where the 8-inch minimum spacing between conduit groups is not maintained. Aluminum materials must not be embedded in concrete.
