An exterior concrete slab and interior concrete slab-on-grade bear on a concrete wall supported by a concrete footing. Continuous reinforcement runs through the top and bottom of the wall, tied into vertical and horizontal wall reinforcement. The cold joints between the foundation wall and slabs require a roughened surface to one-quarter-inch amplitude.
