Longitudinal reinforcing bars extend one-half the length of the drag beam or a specified fourteen feet into the shear wall as indicated on the drawings for the concrete drag beam framing into concrete basement and shear walls. Transverse reinforcement consists of number five ties spaced at four inches on center typically. Additional drag beam reinforcement extends the full length of the drag beam and shear wall per structural plans and elevations.
