Structural steel beams per plan carry vertical and horizontal angle members sized as L4x4x1/4, tying hollow structural section soffit framing into structural steel framing and exterior wall girts. Connection plates measuring 3/8 inch by 3x0'-6 1/2 inches and 3/8 inch by 5 1/2x0'-6 1/2 inches secure the framing using two 3/4 inch diameter A325-SC-OVS bolts spaced at 3 inches on center. Welds including one-quarter inch fillet welds and complete joint penetration welds are specified at structural junctions. Wall panels, soffit panels, and a hangar door interface are coordinated with architectural drawings.
