The tilt-up concrete wall panel rests on a one-inch grout pad atop a concrete footing, with footing size and reinforcement specified per plan. The panel is secured to the footing using number eight drift pins, one foot long, installed at the exterior face and eighteen inches minimum from each end of the panel. These pins are drilled and grouted into place by the tilt wall contractor. Two shim packs are provided per panel, with continuous non-shrink grout required under the panel within thirty-six hours of erection if point loading at the shim packs is not acceptable. A half-inch expansion joint separates the panel from the adjacent concrete slab, which contains reinforcement as indicated on the plan. The footing includes two number four continuous bars and number three transverse bars at thirty-six inches on center.
