A steel beam connects to a hollow structural section column using top and bottom clip angles or shear tabs secured with bolts through the beam web and flanges. A three-sided three-sixteenths inch fillet weld secures the top connection plate to the hollow structural section column. An additional three-sixteenths inch fillet weld connects the framing elements together per the indicated callouts.
