A pipe penetrates the building wall through a designated pipe sleeve, leaving a one-half to five-eighth inch annular space packed with mineral fiber wool all around. Non-hardening resilient sealant is applied on both sides of the penetration to seal the assembly. Vertical pipe penetrations follow a similar installation method.
