Cold-formed steel framing connects to overhead structural supports through deflection track assemblies featuring drift slots and screw or anchor attachments. At the wide-flange beam condition, the track assembly is welded with one-eighth-inch fillet welds and utilizes 150Z150-54 members spaced at twenty-four inches on center typically or three zees at twelve inches on center at jambs, with three-quarter-inch gaps maintained. The bent plate condition incorporates similar zees secured with two minimum-size fasteners to the bent plate, maintaining a four-inch minimum dimension. At the concrete-filled metal deck condition, anchorage is provided by three-eighth-inch by two-and-one-half-inch embed Titen HD anchors at each end of the zee, with an alternative of three number ten screws to the deck installed prior to concrete fill. Deflection tracks feature web slots per sheet 4.42 with number twelve screws centered in drift slots utilizing one-half-inch heads to accommodate vertical movement.
