A CoreBrace buckling restrained brace connects with a bolted lug to a gusset plate welded to a wide-flange steel column and base plate assembly. The wide-flange column features stiffener plates as required by the manufacturer and is anchored to a concrete grade beam per plan. A concrete blockout surrounds the column base within the concrete slab on grade. Base plate and anchor bolt details are referenced separately on the structural drawings.
