Drainage configurations for a concrete retaining wall with two alternatives for backfill and geotextile installation. Option A features a four-inch diameter perforated pipe conforming to ASTM test method 2729 surrounded by crushed rock wrapped in Mirafi 140N or equivalent filter fabric, topped with compacted impervious soil. Option B utilizes a four-inch diameter perforated pipe in Class II permeable material with a Miradrain or approved equal drainage mat. Both options require the perforated pipe to be laid with holes down and sloped to drain.
