A concrete foundation wall penetration is reinforced with a four-inch diameter sleeve surrounded by specific steel reinforcing bars. Two number four diagonal bars are placed on each side as shown, complemented by two number four bars measuring thirty-six inches in length at the top and bottom. Two number four ties are positioned on each side of the opening. A note directs the contractor to contact the project engineer for larger penetrations.
