Shear connector plates and single angle connections serve steel beams framing into wide flange and hollow structural section columns at various skew conditions. Condition A addresses skews up to thirty degrees, Condition B covers skews from thirty to forty-five degrees, and Condition C provides for skews from forty-five to sixty degrees using three-eighths by one inch beveled backing bars and specified plate thicknesses. The web plate and shear tabs connect the steel beam to the steel column utilizing standard bolt groups and fillet welds with a one-half inch stiffener plate where required. Clearances are maintained with specified minimum dimensions, and single angles are trimmed if wider than the column flange.
