Perimeter edge condition for a concrete topping slab bearing on a structural slab, concrete on steel deck, or structural wall and beam. Number 4 reinforcing bars measuring two feet in length are drilled and epoxied into the primary structure at forty-eight inches on center around the perimeter of the topping slab, with cast-in dowels provided at post-tensioned slabs. Reinforcement is placed at one-third depth from the top of the slab, accompanied by architectural waterproofing, insulation, and control joints as specified per plan.
