A continuous metal roof deck bears on a structural steel beam and masonry wall assembly. The steel beam features a bearing plate sized per plan and connects to a continuous deck bearing angle designated as L5x3x1/4, oriented parallel to the deck flutes. An embed plate measuring 3/8 inch by 8 inches by 4 inches is anchored into the masonry wall with two 3/4-inch diameter by 5-inch anchors spaced at 60 inches on center. Two continuous reinforcing bars matching the horizontal wall reinforcing are placed at the deck bearing. Continuous fillet welds secure the connection assembly.
